One curtain covers around 3 × 3 m (10 × 10 ft) of wall, window or roofline. A terraced or semi-detached front usually looks finished with one across the windows; a wide detached facade wants two. They daisy-chain, so adding another later is never a problem.
It can. Strands and controller are both IP65 rated and tested between −20 °C and 45 °C, so rain, sleet, wind and frost are a non-issue. The one thing to keep dry is the plug end — put it under cover or into a weatherproof outdoor socket.
Give it a quarter of an hour. Hooks and clips come in the box, the strands unfold already spaced out, and pairing the app is a single tap. No wiring, no tools beyond a step ladder.

Yes. They daisy-chain from a single plug and the app treats the lot as one canvas, so an animation travels across the whole facade instead of repeating panel by panel.
Not for everyday use — the app talks to the controller directly, with no account and no internet. Put it on your Wi-Fi only if you want to change the lights while you are away from the house.
Very little. These are low-voltage LEDs; running one curtain six hours a night for all of December usually costs less than a couple of coffees.
